Poseidon is built for demanding operations both in harbour and at sea. Classed for escort towing and designed for year-round operations in the Baltic Sea, it combines powerful towing performance with excellent manoeuvrability.
Icebreaking and operation in demanding ice conditions are an integral part of Poseidon’s design. Its CRP thrusters and winterised systems ensure reliable operation in temperatures as low as -40°C.
In first-year ice, Poseidon can maintain a speed of 3 knots in 1.0-metre level ice and 8 knots in 1.1-metre floe ice.
